Slicker This Year 2011 Featuring Ryan Powers

This is Ryan Powers. He is NOT 7 years old, he’s just adorable enough to pass for 7. He was our guest on last year’s New Year Smoothcast, so we thought we’d have him back to talk about 2011. Yeah, it’s late. It’s safe to say that talking about 2010 is passé, but I’m slow to record and slower to edit. Stuff that happened in this episode. Let’s see. Oh, my cohost CC created a Craigslist Missed Connections ad, and I subsequently mocked her for a half hour. We discuss Ryan & CC’s Favorite albums and songs of last year and found that none of us agrees on any damn thing. Ryan blesses us with an acoustic version of “Be My Baby Tonight” after drinking a 40, which is pretty impressive in itself, cause, ya know, he’s little. We play Hot Fire Hot Garbage 2010 edition, a fun little recap of the goofy year that was.
This is our first episode recorded at Chicago’s Fine Arts Building, the new home of the Smoothcast. We are grateful to be there and we hope that 2011 gets better every single day.
